AIG is seeking a highly experienced Cyber Underwriter to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Specialist Cyber Underwriter, you will play a critical role in driving the growth of our Cyber and Tech PI portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategic growth initiatives to drive profitable growth in the UK Cyber and Tech PI portfolios.
  • Act as a referral point for complex accounts and work closely with supporting areas to control and measure facilities.
  • Support and drive Broker Management initiatives, including the development of vendor, industry group partnerships, and client relations.
  • Drive research and development to ensure products launched are aligned with market needs and company appetite.
  • Play a key role in product innovation, evolving coverage and services offered to meet the needs of our clients.
  • Work closely with marketing and communications to produce materials updating our clients and brokers on underwriting appetite, risk trends, and new products and service developments.
  • Link with other minor lines and regional heads to replicate best practices and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Drive a thought leadership framework for both internal and external use, anchored in claims activity and emerging trends.
  • Oversee compliance and progress of underwriting training and coordinate underwriting authorities.
  • Provide oversight and tracking of quarterly peer reviews for UK Cyber.
  • Coordinate Underwriting Rules with the UK Head of Cyber and Cyber Global product team.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Cyber Underwriting, Broking, or Claims.
  • Knowledge of PI is beneficial.
  • A good understanding of the Cyber and Tech business model, underwriting methodology, and the risks we assume.
  • High level of business acumen, problem-solving skills, and ability to deal with ambiguity.
  • Program Management and Governance experience.
  • Knowledge of market segmentation, portfolio management, acquisition, and multiple distribution systems.
  • Analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Excellent presentation, prioritization, communication, and time management skills.
