About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Cyber Underwriter to join our team at Markel International Services Ltd. As a Senior Cyber Risk Specialist, you will play a key role in shaping our Cyber underwriting strategy and developing innovative solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a structured approach to broker development, communicating the Markel story to brokers and customers in a compelling and credible way.
  • Create and provide Thought Leadership for the Cyber Team, analyzing industry trends and losses to inform our underwriting approach.
  • Manage a portion of the Cyber Portfolio, working with Actuaries to create strategy and drive business growth.
  • Collaborate with Markel claims colleagues to maximize business development opportunities and study claims trends to further our underwriting approach.
  • Contribute to innovation within the product suite, providing expert input into the creation of new products and proactive input into the refinement of existing products.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience of Cyber Underwriting, with a deep understanding of Cyber risk and insurance.
  • Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with brokers and clients.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and create strategic recommendations.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
