Cyber Underwriter Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cyber Underwriter to join our team at Markel International Services Ltd. As a Cyber Underwriter, you will be responsible for underwriting and managing a portfolio of Cyber risks according to Markel's underwriting principles and in line with authority limits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Underwrite and manage a portfolio of Cyber risks according to Markel's underwriting principles and in line with authority limits
  • Manage your own renewal book of business in line with appetite and strategy, including combined ratio targets
  • Understand and promote collaborative interaction with claims and other internal functions to develop policy wordings and coverage
  • Analyse and interpret data to enhance Markel's underwriting capabilities
  • Develop strong relationships with new and existing brokers
  • Conduct competitor analysis as well as keeping abreast of Cyber product development
  • Generate new business opportunities with brokers, and utilise internal pipeline's, as well as working with other Markel Underwriting Team's in order to compliment your efforts

Requirements:

  • Experience of Cyber Underwriting
  • Understanding of underwriting principles and risk acceptance in Cyber
  • Wording comprehension
  • Analysis of Underwriting data
