Job Overview
Atkinson Secure Children's Home is a secure environment with excellent in-house facilities and rated 'Outstanding' by OFSTED. We provide exceptional parenting to young people aged 10-17 years old who have been granted a secure accommodation order by the courts. The young people we care for often require intensive support, intervention, and physical intervention at a last resort.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide daily support to young people, promoting their emotional and behavioural development through therapeutic approaches and life skills training. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop individualised care plans, focusing on education, vocational skills, and personal growth. Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment, adhering to DCC's safeguarding policies and procedures.

Requirements:
Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective relationships with young people, colleagues, and external agencies. Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins. Hold a valid DBS disclosure, as this role involves working with vulnerable individuals. Fluency in English is essential for confident communication within the team and with service users.
