About the Role
As a Peripatetic Deputy General Manager (Clinical) at Barchester, you will travel across your region to manage and develop the teams in various care homes, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and service. Working closely with the General Manager or hiring manager, you will help implement action plans to meet the needs of residents. In the absence of the General Manager, you will take on leadership duties, assisting with care standards, motivating your team, and inspiring a multidisciplinary team to provide the best possible quality of life for residents. This involves leading by example, monitoring standards through regular audits, supervised clinical practice, and checking regulatory compliance. You will set the highest standards and develop strategies to achieve your goals.
About You
To join us as a Peripatetic Deputy General Manager (Clinical), you will need to be a Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) with current NMC registration and a teaching, mentoring, or supervision qualification. Previous experience working within a nursing home setting is essential, and evidence of continual professional development is required. You should have experience helping residents with different health needs, managing safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments, and supporting newly qualified nurses through preceptorship. A strong knowledge of sales and marketing, budget management, and HR experience are also desirable. You will be compassionate, resilient, and determined to deliver quality care in our engaging and energetic environment. Due to the nature of this role, you must be flexible and willing to travel.
Benefits
As well as a competitive salary, Barchester offers a comprehensive rewards package, including:
- Free learning and development opportunities
- Automatic enrolment into our profit share scheme
- A range of holiday, retail, and leisure discounts
- Nurse Mentor and Refer a Friend bonus schemes
- Offer to pay Tier 2 visa application fee for eligible nurses
If you are a dedicated and compassionate individual who wants to make a difference in the lives of residents, this is a rewarding and empowering place to be.
