Communication Assistant

At Sensity CA, we're committed to empowering individuals with dual sensory impairment to live independently. As a Communication Assistant, you'll play a critical role in supporting these individuals in their daily lives.
About the Role:- You'll work with individuals to develop and implement personalized communication plans.
- Assist with daily living activities, such as meal preparation, house cleaning, and personal hygiene.
- Provide personal care and assistance as needed, including lifts and transfers, toileting, and medication administration.
Requirements:
- A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are required for this position.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
- Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and challenging behaviors is an asset.
- Knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) or Signed Exact English (SEE) is preferred.
The estimated salary for this position is $25,000/year, based on 12-13 hours of work per week. Benefits include a competitive benefit plan, employee assistance program, and opportunities for professional development.
