About the Role

At Places for People, we're dedicated to creating inclusive and thriving communities for our customers and employees. As a key player in our mission, you'll work collaboratively with the Area Healthy Communities Manager to develop and implement the Community Health and Wellbeing plan for your location.

You'll ensure that programmes and projects are effective, on budget, and adhere to best practices and organisational standards. You'll actively seek funding solutions with the Area Manager and local operation teams to deliver impactful projects.

Additionally, you'll lead efforts to capture and communicate the programmes' impact to both internal and external stakeholders, enhancing Places Leisure's visibility and reputation.

As a Health and Wellbeing Delivery Manager, you'll be responsible for managing a team that delivers a range of key programmes, including Exercise Referral, Cardiac Rehab, Falls Prevention, Community Outreach, and Wellbeing Walks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the Community Health and Wellbeing plan for your location
  • Ensure programmes and projects are effective, on budget, and adhere to best practices
  • Actively seek funding solutions with the Area Manager and local operation teams
  • Lead efforts to capture and communicate the programmes' impact to stakeholders
  • Manage a team that delivers key programmes, including Exercise Referral, Cardiac Rehab, and Falls Prevention

About You

  • You have at least one year's experience with delivery and analysis of health projects/programmes
  • You have a passion for improving the health of the local community and a keen awareness of the local physical activity and health landscape
  • You're a keen collaborator with a track record of bringing organisations together to achieve a goal
  • You're proficient in MS tools and have experience delivering projects within set time frames and budgets
