Salary

We offer a competitive salary of £42,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Summary

The Homeless Housing Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting vulnerable individuals and families at risk of homelessness. This is a challenging yet rewarding position that requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of welfare laws, and a passion for making a difference.

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide expert advice and support to homeless applicants, ensuring they receive the best possible outcomes.
  • To work closely with internal and external partners, including courts, solicitors, and local authorities, to prevent homelessness.
  • To provide specialist casework, ensuring all aspects of the service are delivered in accordance with legislation and policy.
  • To contribute to the development of the Homeless Families & Singles Team and the wider Housing Advisory Service.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Expert knowledge of welfare, homelessness reduction act, housing, and homelessness policy.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.A passion for working with vulnerable populations.
