Children and Young People's Advocate

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children and Young People's Advocate to join our team. As a key member of our Pan London Children and Young People's Service, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people affected by domestic abuse.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive needs and risk assessments to ensure each child or young person receives tailored support.
- Provide one-to-one support to children and young people, including safety planning, advocacy, and emotional support.
- Effectively manage a caseload of cases with varying risk levels, providing specialist support to reduce risk and increase safety.
- Collaborate with statutory partners, including Social Care, Education, Health, Police, and Housing, to ensure the diverse needs of children and young people are met.
- Advocate on behalf of children and young people to ensure their voices are heard and their needs are met.
- Experience working directly with vulnerable children and young people, aged 4-17, on a one-to-one basis.
- Ability to assess risk and take appropriate action to safeguard children and young people.
- Understanding of current issues affecting children and young people experiencing domestic abuse.
- Effective organisational skills, including experience with planning, prioritising, and managing crises.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as IT skills.
