We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children and Young People Advocate to join our team at Victim Support. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing support and advocacy to children and young people who have been affected by domestic abuse.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic and committed team, providing a range of services to support children and young people. As a Children and Young People Advocate, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting comprehensive needs and risk assessments to ensure each child or young person receives a tailored support package.
  • Providing one-to-one support to children and young people, including safety planning, advocacy, and emotional support.
  • Effectively managing a caseload of different risk level cases, providing specialist support to reduce risk and increase safety.
  • Reviewing risk assessments on an ongoing basis, ensuring appropriate action is taken to safeguard children and young people.
  • Establishing links with relevant statutory partners, including Social Care, Education, Health, Police, and Housing.

This role is based in our Islington office, with flexibility for hybrid working. The role requires travelling to other VS offices across London.
