Job Title: Kubernetes SRE - Investment Banking Expert

Job Summary:

Sterlings is seeking a highly skilled Kubernetes Site Reliability Engineer to join our Site Reliability Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and stability of our infrastructure through the delivery of tools and processes that improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Automate Infrastructure Services: Design, develop, and automate infrastructure services to improve operational efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Deliver Continuous Service Improvement: Develop Infrastructure as Code to improve the reliability and scalability of our infrastructure.
  • Improve System Performance: Analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve system performance, reduce latency, and optimize resource utilization.
  • Identify SLO's: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify Service Level Objectives (SLO's) that meet availability and latency objectives.
  • Develop Monitoring Solutions: Design and develop monitoring solutions that provide proactive and reactive alerts to ensure prompt issue resolution.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis: Conduct thorough root cause analysis to identify and prevent future incidents.
  • Collaborate with Development Teams: Collaborate with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures.
  • Cloud Migration Strategies: Analyze workloads and devise suitable cloud migration strategies to optimize resource utilization and improve scalability.

Requirements:

  • Extensive Docker/Kubernetes Skills: Proven experience in deploying, configuring, and scaling applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Monitoring Tools: Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Influxdb, and Grafana.
  • CI/CD/CT Platforms: Experience with CI/CD/CT platforms like Git, Ansible, Terraform, and TeamCity.
  • Scripting and Programming Languages: Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as PowerShell, Python, Bash, and C#.
