About the Role

Sterlings is seeking a highly skilled Kubernetes Site Reliability Engineer to join our Site Reliability Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the high availability and performance of our systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Performance Optimization: Improve system performance, make effective use of resources, distribute load, and reduce latency.
  • Monitoring and Alerting: Develop monitoring solutions that alert proactively and reactively to ensure prompt issue resolution.
  • Incident Analysis: Perform root cause analysis on incidents to prevent them in the future and ensure business continuity.
  • Collaboration with Development Teams: Collaborate with development teams to improve services via rigorous testing and release procedures.
  • Cloud Expertise: Extensive Docker/Kubernetes skills for deployment, configuration, and scaling of applications.
  • Monitoring Tools: Proficiency in monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Influxdb, and Grafana.
  • CI/CD Practices: Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Development (CD) practices.
  • Agile and SRE Practices: Familiarity with Agile, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and DevOps practices.
  • Scripting and Programming: Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as PowerShell, Python, Bash, and C#.
