About the Role:

We are seeking a Nuclear Decommissioning Expert to join our team at AtkinsRéalis in Northwest England. As a key member of our Decommissioning & Waste Services market, you will work on delivering engineering and waste management projects for clients in the Nuclear Decommissioning sector.

The successful candidate will have strong engineering capabilities and contribute to multi-disciplinary design delivery autonomously, with minimal oversight. This role may develop into a lead position, and we encourage innovators who can drive change and think differently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop design solutions to agreed time, cost, and quality, aligned to milestones.
  • Understand contractual and performance requirements for various systems and support definition and associated acceptance criteria through design, build, integration, installation, and commissioning activities.
  • Produce or check documentation required to support design review processes, including diagrams, technical specifications, calculations, design evidence, and justifications.
  • Ensure compliance against contractual requirements and Quality Assurance processes.
  • Review relevant supplier documentation.
  • Support design reviews and presentations to customers.
