School Support Staff - SEND Teaching Assistant

TeachMatch is seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to fill the role of a SEND Teaching Assistant in Manchester. As a member of our school team, you will work closely with students who have severe Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them access learning and participate fully in the classroom environment.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our school community and contribute to the educational and personal development of our students. You will be responsible for delivering one-to-one and group support to students with severe SEN, tailoring plans and activities to meet their unique needs.

The Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver tailored support to students with severe SEN, promoting their engagement and participation in learning
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement learning plans, focusing on student independence and confidence
  • Provide physical support and assistance with personal care and mobility needs as required
  • Use positive reinforcement techniques to encourage good behavior and manage emotions effectively
  • Record and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers
  • Foster a culture of inclusion and respect within the school community
  • Nurture strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and collaboration
  • Support the implementation of strategies to promote student independence and confidence
  • Contribute to the smooth running of the school day, assisting with classroom routines and general support
Requirements and Benefits
