Mechanical Project Engineer

Key Role

Based in the UK, this Mechanical Project Engineer will work on global projects, designing, procuring, and manufacturing solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience leading design-oriented tasks and presenting technical reports to stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be involved in:

  1. Leading a small team of engineers and delegating tasks.
  2. Heading designs and manufacturing solutions to support new Ocean Interface systems.
  3. Managing internal and external design reviews and meetings with customers.
  4. Acting as the key point of contact with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  5. Innovating new ways to streamline and deliver submarines quicker while maintaining cost, quality, and safety.

Requirements include:

  1. Experience leading design-oriented tasks across a product lifecycle.
  2. Experience presenting design concepts and technical reports to stakeholders.
  3. Experience working in a hands-on mechanical background or interpreting design plans.
  4. Degree level or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
  5. CEng or ability to attain.
  6. Defence experience or working within this experience.
