Job Summary:

We are seeking an exceptional Director of Environmental Excellence to lead our Sustainability team in driving environmentally responsible practices across various sectors, including Commercial, Residential, Healthcare, Education, and Retail.

About the Role:

This is a senior leadership position that requires strategic vision, technical expertise, and exceptional management skills. As Director of Environmental Excellence, you will be responsible for developing, promoting, and implementing energy and sustainability aspects of projects, representing our company to win projects and bring in new business opportunities.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of Building Regulations Part L and local authority requirements regarding energy efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of passive design techniques, energy modeling, and embodied carbon reduction strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry-leading sustainability benchmarking tools, including BREEAM and Health and Wellbeing benchmarks.
  • Cultivate relationships with clients, identify new business opportunities, and build strong working relationships with existing clients to secure future business.
  • Lead, develop, and grow our Energy and Sustainability consultancy team, providing guidance, support, and supervision as needed.


Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in environmental sustainability, ideally in a leadership or management role.
  • Degree qualification in a relevant discipline, such as Environmental Science, Architecture, or Engineering, preferably at Master's level.


What We Offer:

Competitive salary range: £90,000 - £120,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including health insurance, pension contributions, and childcare vouchers.
