We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Team Leader to join our Children's Residential Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support to our young people, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Key Responsibilities- Lead shifts and deputise for the Registered Manager as required
- Ensure that our team of Residential Care Workers are up-to-date with all mandatory learning and assist with their individual development
- Communicate with the on-site team and raise awareness regarding individual care plans and their implementation
- Maintain accurate written records in logs, continuation sheets, and files to record information and enable regular monitoring and evaluation
- Contribute to team and staff meetings to facilitate good communication and staff development
- Provide support and care to the young people within our services
- Encourage our young people in their preparation to re-enter education or engage in their current schooling
- Travel with our young people to and from School or College
- Prepare food at meal times and maintain the home (cleaning, laundry, etc.) throughout the day to ensure a wonderful environment for the young people in our care
- Organise and facilitate social activities
- Must hold a full UK driving licence
- Must have the desire to earn a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent Children & Younger Peoples workforce
- 12 months experience working in a Residential setting is highly desirable, but we also encourage applications from those at the start of their journey
