About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Team Leader to join our Childrens Residential Team. As a Senior Team Leader, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and safety of our young people, while also providing guidance and support to our team of Residential Care Workers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead shifts and deputise for the Registered Manager as required
  • Ensure that our team of Residential Care Workers are up to date with all mandatory learning and assist with their individual development
  • Communicate with the on-site team and raise awareness regarding individual care plans and their implementation
  • Maintain accurate written records in logs, continuation sheets and files to record information and enable regular monitoring and evaluation
  • Contribute to team and staff meetings to facilitate good communication and staff development
  • Provide support and care to the young people within our services
  • Encourage our young people in their preparation to re-enter education or engage in their current schooling
  • Travel with our young people to and from School or College
  • Prepare food at meal times and maintain the home to ensure a wonderful environment for the young people in our care
  • Organise and facilitate social activities
Requirements
  • Must hold a full UK driving licence
  • Must have the desire to earn a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent Children & Younger Peoples workforce
  • 12 months experience working in a Residential setting is highly desirable but we do also encourage applications from those at the start of their journey
