Job Title:

Social Worker for Children's Services

We are seeking a qualified social worker to join our team, working with children and their families. The successful candidate will have experience in child welfare and be able to work effectively with children and their families.

About the Role:

  • This is a contract role, working 37 hours per week (flexible by negotiation)
  • The initial contract is for at least 3 months, with the possibility of extension
  • Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assessing the needs of children and their families, in accordance with the Framework for the Assessment of Children in Need and their Families within statutory timescales.
  2. Developing Child in Need, Child Protection and Children looked After plans, and participating in relevant Child in Need meetings, Children Looked After Meetings and Core group meetings.
  3. Engaging children, young people and their families in working towards the objectives of their individual care plans, using a range of interventions.
  4. Maintaining accurate records and contributing to the development of the team's policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • A Social Work Degree or equivalent qualification
  • Registration with Social Work England
  • A current DBS check
  • A car driver's license

Estimated Salary Range: £25-£35 per hour, dependent on experience and qualifications.
