Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Highly Specialist Paediatric Physiotherapist to join our team. As a Band 7 equivalent Physiotherapist, you will have extensive skills and knowledge of working with children and young people with complex neurodisability. You will be confident and competent in Physiotherapy assessment and management, as well as providing support and line management for lesser experienced staff and students.

About the Role

This is a part-time position at 28.5 hours, with a salary aligned to NHS Band 7, including a market supplement. The role involves providing high-quality paediatric physiotherapy support to children and young people with disabilities, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a neurodevelopmental paediatric service to children aged 0 to 18 years (and up to 19 years in special schools) with range of developmental disorders and neurological disabilities.
  • Carry out Physiotherapy assessments and use relevant standardised assessments and outcome measures.
  • Liaise with the multidisciplinary team, families, carers, and other professionals to maintain a holistic view of the child or young person.
  • Encourage functional independence in relation to gross motor activities through the assessment and prescription of equipment and aids as required.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need to be passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people. As a Band 7 equivalent Physiotherapist, we expect you to have:

  • BSc/Msc Physiotherapy degree
  • HCPC registration
  • CSP registration
  • Extensive skills and knowledge of working with children and young people with complex neurodisability
  • Excellent ability to plan and prioritise workload, highly skilled in assessment planning, implementing, and evaluating treatment, complying with professional and service standards, and working as an autonomous practitioner
