Job Title: Managing Director, Platform Delivery and Operations

Job Summary:

The Managing Director, Platform Delivery and Operations will lead the global delivery and operations of our platforms, ensuring high-quality, timely delivery that meets or exceeds customer expectations. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of synthesizing complex information and making data-driven decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and Implement Strategic Plans: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for global platform delivery and operations, aligned with the company's overarching goals and objectives.
  2. Oversee Platform Delivery: Oversee the end-to-end delivery of our platform solutions to customers worldwide, ensuring high-quality, timely delivery that meets or exceeds customer expectations.
  3. Drive Operational Excellence: Drive operational excellence across all facets of platform delivery and operations, including resource allocation, project management, and performance optimization.
  4. Identify Delivery Goals: Identify delivery and operational goals, priorities, and initiatives based on industry best practices, business requirements, and risk assessments.
  5. Define Delivery Processes: Define and implement delivery processes, procedures, and controls to ensure standardization of delivery practices across all platforms and services.
  6. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, sales, marketing, and customer support, to ensure alignment of platform delivery and operations with overall business objectives.
  7. Foster Effective Communication: Foster effective communication and collaboration channels to promote information sharing and consistent delivery practices.
  8. Champion Customer-Centric Approach: Champion a customer-centric approach to platform delivery and operations, prioritizing customer satisfaction, feedback, and insights to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
  9. Establish KPIs and Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the performance of platform delivery and operations, providing regular reporting and insights to senior leadership.
  10. Build and Develop a High-Performing Team: Build and develop a high-performing team of platform delivery and operations professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  11. Provide Guidance and Support: Provide guidance and support in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and remediation activities.
  12. Identify Potential Risks: Identify potential risks and challenges in platform delivery and operations and develop strategies to mitigate risks and ensure business continuity and resilience.
Qualifications:
  1. Proven Experience: Proven experience of leading a significant delivery function in a global organization.
  2. Strong Business Acumen: Strong business acumen with demonstrable ability to see the big picture and offer solutions aligned to the wider company group and regional strategy.
  3. Experience in Technology Transformation: Experience leading an organization through large-scale technology transformation and change.
  4. Extensive Experience: Extensive experience (20+ years) in a senior leadership role overseeing global platform delivery and operations for a large (> $1B revenue) organization.
  5. Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  6. Proven Track Record: Proven track record of success in strategic planning, execution, and optimization of platform delivery and operations at scale.
  7. Strong Understanding of SaaS Platform Technologies: Strong understanding of SaaS platform technologies, delivery methodologies, and best practices, with the ability to drive innovation and excellence.
