Role Overview:

Teaching Personnel is seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in a Wilmslow secondary school. This is a full-time position with the potential for a permanent role depending on performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with a variety of SEND, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and learning difficulties.
  • Assist classroom teachers in creating an inclusive learning environment that meets the diverse needs of all students.
  • Implement tailored support strategies to help students engage with lessons, improve their focus, and develop essential skills.
  • Offer emotional and behavioral support to students, promoting their well-being and self-confidence.
  • Work collaboratively with the SENCO, teachers, and other support staff to ensure effective delivery of individual education plans (IEPs) for students.
  • Support students in both academic and pastoral areas, ensuring they feel supported, safe, and valued in their learning environment.
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff on students' development and needs.

Key Details:

  • Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday.
  • Pay: £419.25 - £500 per week, depending on experience.
