Learning Support Assistant

Prospero Teaching is seeking a committed Learning Support Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time position that requires immediate start and will continue throughout the academic year.
The school has a collaborative and supportive staff team that works hard to provide the children with an inspiring and well-rounded educational experience. The children are encouraged to be independent learners and are given a wide range of learning and play opportunities.
The successful candidate will be required to provide specific support for one child who has additional needs, including autism, although this has not yet been formally diagnosed. They will also be responsible for working with groups and individuals on learning, play and craft activities, and contributing to the day-to-day running of the classroom.
This role will involve:
- Providing tailored support and interventions for children across all curriculum areas
- Leading groups in activities in core curriculum areas
- Working with individuals on learning and development activities
- Preparing resources and areas within the setting
- Carrying out assessments and recording information
- Assisting in the daily routines for the children
- Working with children on a range of learning and play activities, indoors and outdoors
