We are seeking an HR professional to join our team in a dynamic organisation that specialises in providing advanced machinery solutions for the packaging industry. With a reputation for excellence and innovation, the company offers a comprehensive range of products and services, including machine design, installation, and support for the global beverage and food canning industry.

This role would suit an experienced HR professional who is passionate about employee relations and fostering a positive workplace culture. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is confident in providing HR advice, and enjoys working with managers and teams across the business. If you have a strong background in employment law and a keen eye for detail, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide first-line HR support and advice to the business, escalating issues when needed
  2. Mediate employee disputes and support a positive working environment
  3. Maintain and manage HR documentation and databases, including employee records
  4. Coordinate recruitment activities, from job postings to interviews and onboarding
  5. Offer guidance on disciplinary and grievance procedures, ensuring compliance with company policies
  6. Manage absence and holiday processes
  7. Conduct exit interviews and provide recommendations for improving employee retention
  8. Coordinate training and development initiatives
  9. Prepare HR reports and ensure data accuracy
  10. Collaborate with management to develop and implement HR policies
  11. Manage the HR software system, including new starters and leavers
  12. Create and distribute monthly company newsletters
  13. Provide administrative support for HR projects and board reporting
  14. Support reception duties, visitor inductions, and general office administration

Working Arrangements

We offer flexible working hours, including Monday to Thursday 8:00am-5:30pm and Friday 8:00am-12:00pm, with the opportunity to work from home as part of our hybrid working arrangement. The salary for this role is up to £35,000 per annum, with the opportunity to progress and develop your career in a dynamic and innovative organisation.
