Business Operations Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Manager to join our team at Mark Street Surgery. As a Business Manager, you will play a critical role in driving business performance, managing financial operations, and implementing strategic initiatives to achieve our organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage daily business operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of our practice.
- Develop and implement business strategies to achieve organizational goals, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies, including health and safety aspects.
- Manage the procurement of organization equipment, supplies, and services, with respect to finances.
- Coordinate the reviewing and updating of all organization policies and procedures.
- Develop, implement, and embed an effective communication strategy (internal and external).
- Ensure the organization maintains compliance with its NHS contractual obligations.
- Actively encourage and promote the use of patient online services.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, as required.
About Us

As a Business Manager, you will be an integral part of our team, working closely with our GP partners, Operations Manager, and other staff members to achieve our organizational goals.
Person Specification
- Good standard of education with excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
- Leadership or management qualification (desirable).
- Experience of working with the general public, managing accounting procedures, and workforce planning.
- Strong IT skills, including EMIS user skills.
- Excellent leadership skills, strategic thinking, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to develop, implement, and embed policy, motivate teams, and enhance morale.
