Therapeutic Outreach Specialist for Vulnerable Youth

About the Role:
Polaris Children's Services is seeking a skilled Therapeutic Outreach Specialist to join our team. As a Therapeutic Outreach Specialist, you will work with children and young people who have experienced care, providing therapeutic support and guidance to help them build on their strengths and achieve positive change.
Key Responsibilities:
- Listen and respond sensitively and appropriately to children, young people, and their families/foster carers.
- Work with children and young people in a solution-focused way to build on their existing strengths and achieve positive change.
- Deliver groups and workshops for children and adults, or support the delivery of these services.
- Travel around the borough of Cheshire West and Chester, and a 40-mile radius of the border of the borough, to provide support to children and young people.
Requirements:
- UK Full driving license and ability to travel.
- Previous experience of working with children and families/foster carers.
- Sound knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
- Understanding of trauma, attachment, and children across the continuum of care, as well as the THRIVE model.
