Midwife Specialist Preterm Clinic

Job Overview:
University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Registered Midwife to lead the development of care and management for women at increased risk of preterm birth in our established preterm clinic. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with our Fetal Medicine team and provide high-quality, safe midwifery care in the antenatal and postnatal period.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing care needs, developing and implementing programs of care, and ensuring practice meets the requirements of a practising midwife in accordance with the Nursing & Midwifery Council's Midwives Rules & Standards & Code of Professional Conduct.
As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to develop further skills in cervical length measurements by ultrasound and contribute to the growth and development of our specialist field.
Responsibilities:- Maintain competence in providing midwifery care
- Promote normality in childbirth, taking account of the woman's individual needs and risk factors
- Ensure women and their partners are provided with the information necessary for them to make informed decisions about their care
- Act as an advocate for the woman and birthing people
- Develop and implement evidence-based programs of care to meet women's individual needs
- Work autonomously within guidelines and professional practice
- Registered Midwife with current UK NMC registration
- Degree in Midwifery or equivalent degree-level study in a health-related subject
- Post-preceptorship experience in a rotational midwifery position
- Full driving licence with access to a car
We offer a competitive salary of £43,041 - £71,406 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to your salary, you will also receive a range of benefits including annual leave, pension scheme, and training opportunities.
