Senior Care Manager

Senior Care Manager – Duval Associates seeks a skilled leader to join our team as a Senior Care Manager. This role is ideal for a caring and organized individual who thrives in a dynamic environment.
In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring clients receive exceptional care while supporting the operational efficiency and growth of the organization. We need a compassionate leader with a passion for making a positive impact who can effectively lead, delegate, and mentor staff.
The Role Day-to-Day:- Support Management: Assist the Registered Care Manager with the day-to-day management and coordination of the branch to ensure it operates efficiently, profitably, and delivers the highest standard of domiciliary care.
- Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records, produce reports, and investigate complaints from service users and employees.
- Recruitment and Staffing: Maintain and grow the team by actively recruiting new care staff, guiding them through the recruitment process, and producing weekly staffing rotas.
- Business Development: Actively seek new business opportunities and support the commercial growth of the branch.
- Operational Compliance: Stay informed about up-to-date operational issues and methods. Ensure compliance with health and safety, emergency regulations, and operational policies.
- Emergency Duties: Undertake out-of-office duties as necessary, including providing emergency hands-on care, undertaking on-call duties, attending social events when required, and offering emergency telephone assistance to care staff.
- Liaison and Coordination: Effectively liaise with other departments, employees, key stakeholders such as commissioners and customers, and the public at large.
- Additional Duties: Quality assurance, assessments, reviews, care plans and to perform other duties as requested.
- Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity in the domiciliary care sector is essential.
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care required. Level 5 in Health and Social Care is desirable or working towards.
- Fantastic leadership skills with proven ability to effectively lead, delegate, and mentor staff.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, empathetic nature.
- High level of organisational skills with the ability to produce staffing rotas and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to work flexibly, including extended hours where necessary, and provide hands-on care during staff shortages.
- Willingness to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and support your colleagues.
- A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle are required.
- Hold or willing to obtain work-related car insurance.
- Willingness to undergo enhanced DBS clearance.
