About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Turning Point. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting an individual with autism, epilepsy, and challenging behavior to live independently in their local community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote the individual's independence and support them with daily activities, including cleaning, cooking, and personal care
  • Develop and implement personalized support plans to enhance the individual's life skills and personal interests
  • Arrange activities in the home and community to promote social interaction and engagement
  • Support the individual with medication and ensure their safety and well-being at all times
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to service monitoring requirements

Requirements

  • Be fit and active, with the ability to support the individual with daily activities
  • Be mature-minded and able to forward plan, helping the individual develop their skills
  • Be patient and understanding, with the ability to work in a predictable and structured environment
  • Have the right attitude and good attendance record, with the ability to work as part of a team
  • Have the ability to work in partnership with the individual's friends and family
