About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our team at Turning Point. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with learning disabilities to live fulfilling lives.

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising Support Workers, ensuring that new staff are inducted into their roles, and providing guidance and support to individuals with complex needs.

You will work closely with our management team to ensure that our services are delivered to the highest standards, and that individuals receive the support they need to achieve their goals.

This is a rewarding and challenging role that requires a high level of emotional intelligence, empathy, and communication skills. If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise Support Workers and ensure that they are equipped to provide high-quality care and support
  • Induct new staff into their roles and provide ongoing training and support
  • Work closely with individuals to understand their needs and develop personalized support plans
  • Monitor and record medication, finances, and other important information
  • Ensure that our services are delivered in accordance with our policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Experience working in a learning disability setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High level of emotional intelligence and empathy
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends
