Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating opportunities to fundraise within local communities and raising money through community engagement and third-party fundraising.

This role is a rare opportunity to be part of a developing ambulance charity, the charitable arm of South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust. The postholder will spend time out in the local community, covering key counties SCAS serves (Berkshire, Buckinghamshire & Oxfordshire).

The Community Fundraising Officer will be an important link between the NHS charity, the communities supported, and over 750 volunteers. This role is crucial in supporting the current strategy to raise funds for key objectives and promoting internal and external communications plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To actively engage with the community, inspiring people to fundraise through proactive outreach.
  • To work as part of a small team, contributing to learning and achieving new income for the charity.
  • To manage workload effectively, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines while maintaining good relationships with donors, volunteers, and colleagues.

The successful candidate must have experience working with fundraising CRM databases and Microsoft Office skills, along with the ability to organize and plan events. An estimated salary for this position is £25,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
