Advanced Musculoskeletal Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Podiatry Practitioner to join our Integrated Musculoskeletal Service Team at North Tees & Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust.
This is an exciting opportunity for a professional to work as part of a large multidisciplinary team, providing safe, efficient and effective patient care. As a key member of the iMSK team, you will be responsible for undertaking advanced assessments and treatments of musculoskeletal patients, including those with complex and/or chronic presentations.
About the RoleYou will work closely with other teams, such as Orthopedic, Rheumatology, Outpatient Physiotherapy, Surgical Services, First Contact Practitioners and Community Pain Management to promote Service Improvement and provide high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake advanced assessments and treatments of musculoskeletal patients, including those with complex and/or chronic presentations.
- Formulate individualised management and treatment plans, which may include advice and discharge, referral to other professions for management, requesting further investigations and diagnostic procedures (MRI, X-rays, Ultrasound, and blood tests) and interpretation of the results or referral to Specialist Consultant.
- Work in an extended role in the management of patients with diverse presentations and complex physical, medical and psychological conditions, ensuring referral to the appropriate services and / or facilitating Choice to service users for Secondary Care, independently of medical staff.
- Podiatry degree
- HCPC registration
- ACP or existing Band 8a
- POM
- Qualification in soft tissue and joint injections
The salary for this position is £45,753 - £53,668 per annum, depending on experience.
