We are seeking a highly experienced Planning Director to lead our dynamic team in Sheffield. As a key member of our senior management team, you will be responsible for elevating and expanding our existing project portfolio, playing a pivotal role in our growth. Your expertise will be instrumental in identifying and securing opportunities in growth sectors, ensuring office profitability, and managing staff workloads and professional development.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Confidently leading a range of projects, engaging in both development management and development plan/policy work.
  • Leading and expanding the established Planning team.
  • Developing the client base, overseeing existing client instructions, and cultivating new client opportunities.
  • Managing staff workloads and professional development to ensure adherence to required standards.

Requirements include:

  • Chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI).
  • 10 years' of professional experience, ideally a blend of private sector consultancy and public sector experience.
