Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Construction Project Coordinator to join our team at Balfour Beatty Communities. As a key member of our pre-construction team, you will be responsible for coordinating the development of scopes of work and issuing Request for Proposals for residential renovation and construction projects nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop renovation and repair scopes of work for various projects nationwide.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including plans, reports, and correspondence.
  • Gather environmental reports and contract documents.
  • Understand building component lifecycle when generating scopes.
  • Prepare Request for Proposals (RFP) for subcontractor bid packages.
  • Solicit new subcontractors and vendors and maintain communication with subcontractors and vendors.
  • Generate Projects in Procore Construction Management Software.
  • Review bid submissions and prepare bid analysis reviews with managers.
  • Develop RFI's and clarifications and ensure adequate subcontractor coverage.
  • Understand how to fit subs to the size/scope of project.
  • Develop baseline project schedules for estimating and resource purposes.
  • Maintain Project Development and Project Backlog.

Requirements:

  • Preferred bachelor's degree in building construction, project management, construction management, civil engineering, or architecture.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Experience performing RFPs, bid analysis, and estimating.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods and construction safety laws.
  • Interpersonal, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of all phases of residential and commercial construction/renovation techniques and processes.
  • Knowledge of identifying local and federal building codes, OSHA and EPA rules and regulations.
  • Experience in Historic Homes and working with SHPO preferred.
  • Solid computer skills, proficient in MS Office and Project, and experience with construction project management software.
  • Must be able to travel up to 30%.
  • OSHA 10 Hour Outreach Training Course & OSHA Fall Protection Outreach Training Course within 30 days of hire. Procore Project Management Certification within 45 days of hire.
  • Active and valid driver's license.
