Early Years Teaching Assistant Opportunity

Milk Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our team in North Shields. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of young children in a primary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with lesson planning and preparation, ensuring resources are available to support learning outcomes.
  • Prepare and clear up activities with pupils, maintaining a safe and organized learning environment.
  • Supervise individual or small groups of pupils, coordinating and explaining instructions for activities.
  • Monitor pupil progress and inform teachers of achievements and areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Level 2 or above in Childcare or EY Practitioner, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of phonics schemes, such as Read, Write, Inc, Jolly Phonics, or Letter and Sounds.
  • Previous experience working with Early Years children in a nursery or primary school setting.
  • A fun, outgoing, and energetic personality, ideal for working with young children.
  • Experience with special educational needs is an advantage, but not essential.
