GSL Education's Newcastle branch is seeking a committed Early Years Practitioner to become an integral part of our educational community in North Shields.

Position Overview:

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will be essential in fostering the growth and well-being of young learners. Your role will involve creating a secure, engaging, and enjoyable atmosphere where children can discover, learn, and thrive. Your compassionate approach will help establish a solid foundation for their ongoing education and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional care and educational experiences to children in the nursery setting.
  • Ensure the safety and welfare of all children at all times.
  • Facilitate children's social, emotional, and physical growth.
  • Establish a welcoming and inclusive environment that promotes exploration and play.
  • Adhere to nursery policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety protocols.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualifications in early childhood education (e.g., CACHE Level 3, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent).
  • Experience in working with young children in a nursery or early years environment.
  • Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • A nurturing and patient demeanor when interacting with children.
  • An updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
  • A dedication to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
