Early Years Teaching Assistant Role

Milk Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our team in North Shields. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our partner primary schools to provide support to children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the planning and preparation of learning activities to support lesson plans and learning outcomes.
  • Prepare materials and equipment to support the delivery of EYFS curriculum.
  • Work with children on a 1:1 or small group basis to support their learning and development.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment.
Requirements
  • Level 2 or above in Childcare or EY Practitioner or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of phonics schemes, including Read, Write, Inc, Jolly Phonics, and Letter and Sounds.
  • Previous experience working with Early Years children in a nursery or primary school setting.
  • A fun, outgoing, and energetic personality that is ideal for working with young children.
  • Experience with special educational needs is an advantage, but not essential.
