Construction HSE Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Construction HSE Manager to lead health and safety initiatives across UK-based construction projects. As a seasoned professional, you will be responsible for maintaining compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and developing and managing project documentation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Developing and managing project documentation.
  • Coordinating contractor activities through permit-to-work systems and on-site meetings.
  • Providing guidance to clients on health and safety matters.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a health and safety management role within live construction.
  • Fully licensed driver.
  • In-depth knowledge of Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate.

This is a permanent full-time role with a salary up to £55,000 per annum DOE, including car allowance, on-site bonus, and 25 days annual leave + BH. The estimated salary range is £45,000 - £60,000 per annum depending on experience.

About the Role

This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to react quickly and efficiently to changing demands and requirements. You should have a clear and engaging communication style, able to interact with individuals at all levels.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary package, including car allowance and on-site bonus. You will also receive 25 days annual leave + BH, which increases by 2 days every 2 years up to a maximum of 10 extra days.

The selection process includes an initial application review, followed by interview preparation and an initial Teams call with the hiring manager. A second interview may be held in person.
