Job Title: Social Worker

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Social Worker to join our team at Care Managers. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing practical and social work support for children, young people, and families within Northamptonshire Children's Trust.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Case Management: Handle complex caseloads involving children, young people, and families, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
  • Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments of children and families, identifying needs and developing personalized support plans.
  • Visits: Conduct regular visits to children and their families, building strong relationships and providing emotional support.
  • Interventions: Implement evidence-based interventions, promoting positive outcomes and well-being.
  • Reviews: Regularly review the work undertaken, ensuring it meets the necessary standards and making adjustments as needed.
  • Direct Work: Engage directly with children, young people, and families, providing guidance and support.
  • Mentoring: Offer mentoring, work shadowing, and work experience opportunities, promoting professional development.
  • Development: Pursue ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices and research.

Requirements:

  • Education and Certifications: Degree in Social Work, Certified Qualification in Social Work (CQSW), or equivalent.
  • Professional Registration: Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council on the Social Care Register.
  • Post-Qualification Learning: Evidence of ongoing professional development and learning.

Experience and Skills:

  • Experience working with multiple client groups.
  • Knowledge of Northamptonshire Children's Trust procedures and Local Safeguarding Children Board (LSCB) procedures.

Compliance Requirements:

  • DBS Level: Enhanced child-only.

What We Offer:

Qualified Social Worker with HCPC registration, minimum one year post-qualification experience, strong assessment, planning, and intervention skills, excellent record-keeping and report-writing abilities, proactive, collaborative, and able to manage a complex workload.
