Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Care Manager to join our team at Care Managers. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing safeguarding and protection services for children in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Child Safeguarding: Develop and implement effective safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of children in our care.
  • Collaboration and Partnership: Work closely with multiple agencies, including social services, healthcare providers, and education institutions, to provide comprehensive care and protection plans.
  • Assessment and Intervention: Conduct thorough assessments and implement interventions to address the needs of children in our care.
  • Record-Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all interventions and assessments, and provide regular reports to stakeholders.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest research, policies, and best practices in child safeguarding and protection, and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.
Requirements
  • Education: A recognized qualification in social work, such as a CQSW, CSS DipSW, or Degree in Social Work, and a Home Office letter of recognition or equivalent.
  • Clearance: Satisfactory Disclosure & Barring Service clearance.
  • Registration: HCPC registration.
  • Experience: A minimum of one year post-qualification experience in a related field, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality care and protection services.
Desirable Skills and Qualities
  • Strong Assessment and Intervention Skills: The ability to conduct thorough assessments and implement effective interventions to address the needs of children in our care.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: The ability to work effectively with children, families, and other stakeholders, and to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong Organizational and Time Management Skills: The ability to prioritize tasks, manage a complex workload, and meet deadlines.
