Job Title: Group Head of Diversity, Inclusion and Wellbeing

The Group Head of Diversity, Inclusion and Wellbeing plays a pivotal role in driving L&G's diversity, equity, and inclusion agenda. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to create a workplace culture that values and celebrates diversity, promotes equity, and fosters a sense of belonging among employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Diversity, Inclusion and Wellbeing team at L&G, overseeing the development and implementation of diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and support to internal and external stakeholders, including the Group Board, Executive Teams, HRDs, Senior Leaders, and investors.
  • Collaborate with the Group D&I Executive Sponsor, Senior Executives, and divisional exec D&I Sponsors to execute diversity, equity, and inclusion plans across the business.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the linkage between diversity, equity, and inclusion and the organization's overall culture, creating consistent messaging to explain the value and impact of these initiatives.
  • Lead the delivery of plans to improve workforce diversity and culture, working closely with other teams to develop and implement initiatives, and using data and insight to inform decision-making.
  • Shape and support L&G's active employee networks and groups, developing and implementing policies and procedures to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators for diversity, equity, and inclusion, providing regular progress reporting to internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a deep understanding of external trends, best practices, and challenges.
  • Experience in delivering targeted programs of work from inception to completion in a matrix/divisional environment.
  • Strong presence, impact, and emotional intelligence, with the ability to establish warm and genuine relationships at all levels, both inside and outside the organization.
  • Experience in writing Board papers, presenting, and influencing Board/ExCo level.
  • Innovative, motivated, and self-starting, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and resource constraints.
  • Experience in leading high-performing teams and managing budgets.
  • Experience working within Financial Services or a complex, regulated environment.
