Job Summary

This Orthopaedic Scrub Nurse role supports the Theatre department, caring for patients in a team environment. You will have access to the Ramsay Academy, where you can gain your SFA qualification and develop your career across our network of hospitals.

Responsibilities

">
  • Work effectively as part of a team, supporting theatre operations and delivering high-quality clinical outcomes.
  • Provide scrub nursing support for orthopaedic procedures, including hip arthroplasty, knee arthroplasty, and anterior cruciate ligament surgeries.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and safe operating environment, adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development, enhancing skills and knowledge in surgical first assistance.

Requirements

">
  • NMC/HCPC registration with no restrictions or conditions.
  • Experience in surgical scrub nursing, preferably in orthopaedics.
  • Surgical First Assist Qualification (SFA) or willingness to pursue it.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Able to work flexible hours and adapt to changing priorities.
  • A warm, considerate, and empathetic character.
