About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Triage Clinician to join our team at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Kent and Medway Single Point of Access (SPA) for young people, you will play a vital role in managing referrals for emotional wellbeing, mental health, and neurodevelopmental concerns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and support to team members and Trust staff
  • Ensure a client-focused service, prioritizing the needs of young people and their families
  • Monitor and manage incoming referrals, triage, and screening activity
  • Delegate tasks to clinicians and administrators to promote efficient and timely responses to referred clients
  • Monitor clinical activity in relation to service Key Performance Indicators and act to achieve required outcomes
  • Be a point of contact for all SPA staff and Trust colleagues, promptly attending to informal and formal enquiries or complaints
  • Make the care and safety of young people and their families your first concern, acting to protect them from risk
  • Be honest and act with integrity, maintaining professional standards and Trust policy in relation to Risk Management, Health and Safety, Confidentiality, and Data Protection
Requirements
  • Postgraduate qualified practitioner, fully registered with the appropriate professional or regulatory body
  • Clinical experience in the screening and assessment of children and young people's mental health difficulties
  • Currently working at Band 6 or above
  • Relevant qualification registered with governing body
  • Clinical practice working in child and adolescent mental health and children with neurodevelopmental conditions
