We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Lead Psychiatrist to join our team at Kent and Medway NHS & Social Care Partnership Trust
As a Clinical Lead Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality clinical service and actively involved in the strategic development of the team and broader services.
Kent and Medway NHS & Social Care Partnership Trust is a leading provider of mental health, learning disability, and specialist services to a population of 1.8 million people across Kent and Medway.
You will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide a single point of contact for the mental health needs of patients attending the Emergency Department or admitted to our hospitals.
Main Responsibilities
- To provide psychiatric care to patients referred to the Liaison Psychiatry Service and contribute to cross-cover.
- To provide medical expertise within the Multidisciplinary Liaison Team.
- To act as a Responsible Clinician (Approved Clinician status) for patients detained under the Mental Health Act to our trust.
- To ensure effective liaison occurs between mental health services and our hospitals, and also with other agencies in the voluntary and statutory sectors as appropriate.
