Liability Claims Handler

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Liability Claims Handler to join our team at Davies Group. As a Liability Claims Handler, you will be responsible for efficiently handling EL & PL claims for both Personal Injury and Property Damage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with Insurers, Policyholders, and Brokers to ensure seamless claim handling.
- Investigate allocated claims from the desk or via referral to a field adjuster for site investigation where necessary.
- Obtain all necessary evidence and relevant documentation to support claim resolution.
- Determine appropriate actions for the resolution of the case, ensuring compliance with client requirements.
- Prepare detailed reports, providing advice on policy indemnity, legal liability, quantum, and tactics.
- Negotiate settlement where appropriate, within agreed authority limits.
- Correspond with all parties professionally to proactively progress the case to conclusion.
- Handle all cases in accordance with client requirements, referring to documented procedures at all times.
- Maintain a proper reserve at all times by regular review.
- Stay up-to-date on any technical changes relevant to your role, participating in training programs facilitated by the company.
Requirements:
- Experience handling EL (Employers Liability) & PL (Public Liability) claims.
- Experience handling personal injury claims.
Desirable Skills:
- Ideal experience handling product and Clinical Negligence claims.
- Experience handling third-party property damage claims.
