Location: Remote
Work Schedule: Full-time, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
The Liability Claims Handler plays a crucial role in managing Employer Liability (EL) and Public Liability (PL) claims, focusing on both personal injury and third-party property damage. The ideal candidate will oversee a designated caseload, addressing inquiries related to policy coverage, legal responsibilities, and claim values. This position requires proactive communication with clients and adherence to the claims handling philosophy established by Casualty Claims Solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with insurers, policyholders, and brokers to facilitate claims processing.
- Conduct thorough investigations of assigned claims, including coordinating with field adjusters for on-site assessments when necessary.
- Gather all pertinent evidence and documentation to support claims.
- Identify appropriate strategies for resolving claims effectively.
- Draft comprehensive reports as needed, offering insights on policy coverage, legal obligations, claim values, and strategic approaches.
- Negotiate settlements within defined authority limits when applicable.
- Maintain professional correspondence with all stakeholders to ensure timely progression of claims.
- Adhere to client requirements by following established procedures consistently.
- Regularly review and maintain accurate reserves for claims.
- Stay informed on relevant technical developments through ongoing training opportunities provided by the company.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in handling EL and PL claims.
- Background in managing personal injury claims.
- Experience with third-party property damage claims.
- Familiarity with product liability and clinical negligence claims is advantageous.
This position is suitable for both seasoned claims handlers seeking new challenges and less experienced candidates who are eager to develop their skills and knowledge in this field.
