Liability Claims Handler

We are seeking a skilled Liability Claims Handler to join our team at Davies. As a Liability Claims Handler, you will be responsible for efficiently handling EL & PL claims for both personal injury and third-party property damage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with Insurers, Policyholders, and Brokers to ensure effective communication and claim resolution.
- Investigate allocated claims, gathering necessary evidence and documentation to determine appropriate actions for resolution.
- Prepare detailed reports, providing advice on policy indemnity, legal liability, quantum, and tactics.
- Negotiate settlements within agreed authority limits, ensuring fair and timely resolution.
- Correspond with all parties professionally to progress cases to conclusion.
- Maintain a proper reserve by regular review, ensuring accurate financial management.
- Stay updated on technical changes relevant to the role, participating in training programs as needed.
Requirements:
- Experience in EL & PL claims handling, with knowledge of UK legal jurisdictions.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage a caseload, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency in using relevant software and systems, with willingness to learn new technologies.
