About the Role

As a Paramedic Functional Assessor at Maximus, you will utilize your clinical expertise to evaluate the impact of a person's disability or health condition on their daily life. You will work on complex cases involving physical and mental health conditions and chronic pain disorders, providing compassionate and experienced support to customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments via telephone, video, or face-to-face interactions to understand the effects of a person's disability or health condition on their daily life.
  • Produce detailed Personal Independent Payment (PIP) reports to assist the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) in determining a person's eligibility for benefits.
  • Develop your clinical knowledge and assessment skills through regular feedback and supervision.

Requirements

  • Valid HCPC registration number.
  • At least 1 year of broad post-registration experience gained within or outside of an NHS ambulance trust.
  • Right to work in the UK - we cannot offer sponsorships.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports.
