Vehicle Damage Assessor and Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor and Estimator to join our team at FMG Repair Services in Sheffield.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing the extent of damage to vehicles, estimating repair costs and timescales, and preparing and maintaining accurate records of electronic and manual estimates.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to assess the extent of damage and estimate repair costs and timescales.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of electronic and manual estimates, including prescribed repair methods and costs.
- Liaise effectively with insurance companies to obtain authority to repair vehicles at estimated costs.
- Work closely with customers, engineers, and technicians to explain and ensure understanding of repair methodologies.
- Stay up-to-date with Thatcham Repair Methods and BSi safety standards.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the bodyshop and across other functional areas to ensure efficient and effective repair processes.
- NVQ level 3/City & Guilds or ATA/IMI qualification in a related field.
- Proven experience in vehicle damage assessment and estimation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Full UK driving license.
