About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Roaming Vehicle Damage Assessor to join our team at FMG Repair Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing and estimating damage to vehicles across multiple sites in the South Yorkshire/Nottingham area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to assess the extent of damage and estimate repair costs.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of electronic and manual estimates.
  • Liaise with insurance companies to obtain authority to repair vehicles at estimated costs.
  • Effectively communicate with customers, engineers, and technicians to explain and ensure understanding of repair methodologies.
  • Stay up-to-date with Thatcham Repair Methods and BSi safety standards.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a VDA / Vehicle Damage Assessor / Estimator with a solid bodyshop background.
  • Experience using Audatex and holding a full UK Manual Driving Licence.
  • NVQ level 3/City & Guilds or ATA / IMI qualification is preferred.
